Useful for submitting Solaris jobs from Linux desktops and the reverse: we have jobs that run on two different-OS machines at the same time
and talk to one another as they go.
This is what I meant by no heterogenuous cluster support currently. Adding a telnet-style WILL/WONT ASCII negotiating should sove this problem, and we are working on it.
