General Comments on file formats
================

*.eps = Encapsulated postscript file.
	Those marked [i5-eps] were prepared using
        Illustrator 5.5 on the Mac. They are still
        able to be editted using illustrator.

*.ps   = Large postscript images
*.ps.Z Under unix they are stored using the unix "compress" command. Use
          "uncompress" to decompress them. This command is
          available on the mac through StuffIt.

*.rtf = Text generated by Macintosh MS-Word 5.1 which
        was saved in RTF interchange format

*.doc = Text generated by Macintosh MS-Word 5.1 which
        was saved in normal format (this was not put onto hyper).

disk*/ = These directories correspond to 800K and 1.44M
         disks that I made up.

[BC] : For the figures marked with a [BC], Biochemistry
       retains the copyright.

[PM] : Figures marked with a [PM] are part of the protein
       motions database, which retains their copyright.
