Linking Directly to GeneCensus ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (1) VIA PDB ID To find folds in genomes, one passes a PDB id via way of a URL and gets back a page with the number of times the fold corresponding to this id (as determined by scop) occurs. The URL is: http://bioinfo.mbb.yale.edu/genome/search.cgi?pdb=1pdb where "1pdb" corresponds to the PDB id. Any of the ~10000 PDB ids contained in scop 1.35 is valid. An example query that should work is the one for 6ldh, viz: http://bioinfo.mbb.yale.edu/genome/search.cgi?pdb=6ldh (2) VIA GENE NAME Alternatively, to link to the structural annotation of a particular gene, one passes an ORF id and an organism. The URL is: http://bioinfo.mbb.yale.edu/genome/search.cgi?orf=G001&org=sp where "G001" corresponds to an ORF id and "sp" represents a species. The following two letter abbreviations are used for organisms: EC Escherichia coli HI Haemophilus influenzae HP Helicobacter pylori MG Mycoplasma genitalium MJ Methanococcus jannaschii MP Mycoplasma pneumoniae SC Saccharomyces cerevisiae SS Synechocystis sp. An example query that should work is the one for ORF YOR133W in yeast (SC), viz: http://bioinfo.mbb.yale.edu/genome/search.cgi?orf=YOR133W&org=SC .. _ .. _ .. .. _ .. _ .. .. _ .. _ .. .. _ .. _ .. .. _ .. _ .. .. _ ..
